Recent changes to Fund EcoMarket

Just a brief note to let you know about some of the changes we have made to Fund EcoMarket recently.

Changes to functionality

You can now…

• Use the new map on our ‘Find an Adviser’ area  – which enables potential adviser clients to find local advisers more easily.
• You can now use the Search ‘recently updated funds’ filter option.  (This is accessed via the Search box at the top right hand side of the fund list that appears after you have clicked the ‘Search funds’ button (either after selecting filter options or on its own, which will show all funds) you can now use the filter option on the top right hand side of the fund list to  see the entries we have added or amended most recently).

Changes to SRI Styles classifications

The following changes have been made so that we can continue to list funds that have very different or significantly less extensive /stringent exclusions than other strategies, without running the risk of them potentially misleading users or being accused of greenwash:

• NEW ‘Limited Exclusions’ SRI Styles so that it is easier to spot those funds that avoid only a small fraction (eg c5% or less) of their potential investment universe (eg excluding tobacco, or companies that seriously breach the UN Global Compact)
• NEW: We have created a new ‘Other’ SRI Style category for funds which genuinely do not fit any of the existing categories. (We had been reluctant to do this, but recent developments make this necessary)
