BSI published PAS 7342:2025 yesterday, a fast track standard for retail sustainable investment funds.
The document describes what ‘good’ looks like in the ‘design, implementation, monitoring and communication of sustainability attributes’ – for retail funds that have a significant focus on sustainability (ie not only labelled funds).
It’s primary intended audience is fund managers, however it is also expected to be of use to portfolio managers, wealth managers, financial advisers and others.
The standard was very much a team effort – with both industry and government departments involved – and I am delighted to have been the ‘technical author’, working alongside BSI to create this important document.
My hope is that this document will support the future growth of retail sustainable investment, and perhaps help answer some of the questions people have around SDR.
